Recently, the first 12,500‑DWT international‑voyage chemical and oil tanker built by Linhai Huipu Shipbuilding & Repair Co., Ltd. for Malaysia’s MTT Group was successfully launched, with design review and construction inspection carried out by the China Classification Society (CCS).

The vessel has an overall length of 130 meters, with a hull constructed from nickel‑saving duplex stainless steel. It is equipped with a dual‑fuel main engine capable of switching seamlessly between diesel and methanol, significantly reducing emissions of sulfur oxides, nitrogen oxides, and greenhouse gases while delivering outstanding seaworthiness and economic efficiency.
From the very outset of project planning, the Zhejiang Branch and the Taizhou Office accorded the project the highest priority, assigning a team of senior surveyors to deliver comprehensive inspection services. The project team provided end-to-end technical guidance on duplex stainless steel fabrication and management, dual-fuel main engine integration, ship cybersecurity, and flag-state-specific requirements, thereby achieving simultaneous improvements in construction efficiency and safety‑quality standards.
